About Max Carnot
I have been discussing with cousins when the name changed from Cohn/Kohn to Carnot. His marriage is the earliest citation we can find of the name "Carnot'
In city directories of the era (1905 onwards) he was listed as a "prescription specialist" with a store at 197 Nepperhan Avenue in Yonkers. He also sold what is now called 'patent medicine' - this city directory had an advertisement "Carnot's 'Moltozone' positively cures coughs and colds. Try It."

On Max Carnot's passport (thru Ancestry.com) his passport shows he was born March 15, 1975 (not 1876) but it also shows he was born in Marseille, France rather than Russia which we know is not true so.....take all this with a grain of salt I guess. Anne Ross |
