Flora Tretter Bortner in a letter to Steven A. Tretter in February 2016 says that "Bea's cousins Frieda and Max Dicker I think were also first cousins. They stood up for Bea and Max at their wedding." (This refers to Beatrice Dicker Tretter and Maxwell Harry Tretter.)

Phyllis Dicker Karten in a letter to Steven Tretter says Max Dicker was a brother of Ester Dicker Tretter. The source "New York, New York City Marriage Records, 1829-1940," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:243K-8VY : accessed 8 April 2016), Ruth R. in entry for Max Dicker and Frieda Newman, 09 Aug 1912; citing Marriage, Manhattan, New York, New York, United States, New York City Municipal Archives, New York; FHL microfilm 1,613,386 says the Max's mother was "Ruth R." So is Max a half brother of Ester Dicker?
