Adolf Duschenes was born in Slatina, Czechoslovakia in 1911 to Karel and Berta. He was a flourmiller. Prior to WWII he lived in Knoviz, Czechoslovakia. During the war was in Czechoslovakia. Adolf died in Auschwitz. This information is based on a Page of Testimony submitted by his uncle from Czech republic.

Knoviz and Slatina are near Jesin where Rosa Steiner (Max' mother in law) is from.

There is also a Joseph Duschenes with a birth year of 1880 who went on exactly the same transports to Terezin and Auschwitz as Kamilla? Could Max' real name be Joseph?
