About Maxine Denning

Maxine was born in Ely Nevada on November 5, 1926 to her mother Lucille Wilkey Kirgan and Clinton Kirgan. She was the oldest child with a sister Colleen and a brother Gary. The family lived in Nephi and Salt Lake City Utah where Maxine graduated from South High school in 1944. After high school she attended LDS Business College in Salt Lake City after which she started working at Consolidated Freightways as a secretary.

She met the love of her life, Aaron Sant Denning, at church in the McKinley ward in Salt Lake City. After Aaron completed his naval service in World War II, they were married in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on November 19th, 1947. They settled in Salt Lake City where all six of their children were born. Maxine was a very kind person with a cheerful disposition. Her family meant everything to her. She was a wonderful mother.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Gary, son Craig, her husband Aaron, and her son Russel. She is survived by her sister Colleen Hilton (Gill) of Orem UT, her children Steven A. Denning (Roberta) of Greenwich CT, Robert W. Denning (Margo) of McCall ID, Deborah D. Casper of Lakewood CO, Susan A. Denning Cook of Brighton CO, 12 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. On Monday May 21st there will be a viewing at 12:00 pm and a funeral at 1:00 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 9800 Foothills Canyon Blvd, in Highlands Ranch. All are welcome. Afterwards, Maxine will be interred at Fairmount Cemetery 430 S. Quebec St., Denver CO. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Maxine Denning to the Wind Crest Scholars' Fund (501(c)3).
