• according to Foster Genealogy by Frederick Clifton Pierce, Mercy was the dau. of Samuel Foster b. Boxford MA 20 Feb. 1681 and Mary Macoon of Cambridge. They m. 2 Sept 1703. She d. 6 Oct 1740. He d. 30 Aug 1747. They resided in Boxford, MA. Samuel was the son of William Foster and Mary Jackson. William was the son of Reginald Foster who came to Ipswich MA ca 1638.
