Mercy, born September 27, 1647, was the youngest of the children of Henry and Eulalia Burt. She married January 17, 1667, Judah Wright, b. May 10, 1642, son of Deacon Samuel Wright of Springfield and Northampton. Samuel, another of Deacon Wright's sons, had married in 1653, Elizabeth Burt, sister of Mercy. Judah and Mercy Wright lived in Northampton where she died * * * 1705, and he married (2), July 11, 1706, Sarah, widow of Richard Burt. He died November 26, 1725.

Mercy Burt was born on 27 Sep 1647 at Springfield, Massachusetts,<ref name="Springfield Births"/> the youngest child of Eulalia (Marche) andHenry Burt.<ref name="Early Days"/> Mercy married Judah Wright on 7 Jan 1666/1667.<ref name="Burt-March"/>Judah was born on 10 May 1642 at Springfield,<ref name="Springfield Births"/> the son of Deacon Samuel Wright and Margaret [Stratton]. He took an oath of fidelity on 26 Mar 1661 at Northampton.<ref name="Devlin"/> Mercy was named in her mother's will, dated 27 May 1684, at Springfield. Her mother died in 1690. She received a legacy of "the halfe of that Cloth that is sent to the weavers, and the Serdge her husband sent me for a wastecoate, one pair of sheetes, one pillow-beer, ond shift, one coate."<ref name="Devlin"/>
