Meriel Jacob

Meriel Bland was the daughter of Sir John Bland, 4th Baronet of Kippax Park and his wife Anne Moseley. She married Hildebrand Jacobs, Esq., only son and heir of Sir. John Jacob, Baronet. Meriel is mentioned in her mother's will as Meriel Jacob, leaving her a pair of diamond earrings as well as cash. She was also mentioned in a lawsuit over her father's will. Sir John directed that Lady Anne raise 4000 pounds for Meriel and settle his other debts before Lady Anne could inherit the Bland properties.
