Murle Agness (Powell) Bilderback

Of Tyee, Oregon, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 12, 2009, at the age of 94. She was born in Santa Clara, Oregon, on November 29, 1914, to parents, Charles and Elsie (Udell) Powell. She was raised and educated in Santa Clara and lived there until 1946, when she moved to Douglas County. She is survived by one brother, Chuck Powell of Springfield, Oregon; sons, Allen Coltrane and his wife, Lois of Dexter, Oregon, and Dennis Bilderback and his wife, Marquetta of Wilbur, Oregon; daughters, Beverly Baird and her husband, Dick of Oakland, Oregon, and Sharron Clear and her husband, Robin of Jacksonville, Florida, as well as 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Murle was preceded in death by her husband, Mervin; two sisters and a brother. She was proud of the fact that her grandfather came to Oregon on the Oregon Trail in 1853. Murle could also trace her roots back to the Mayflower. Murle was a member of the Calapooia Free Methodist Church and spent many years teaching boys Sunday School class there. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her. Her lifelong prayer would be that all of her family and friends would come to know her dear Lord and Savior. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the Coles Valley Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Stewart Fowler of the Calapooia Free Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Taylor's Family Chapel
