Wayne, born in 1914, worked in the Los Angeles area for a time, returning to North Dakota in 1936. He married Inga Barsten on November 16, 1940 and they stayed on the Chris Wentzel farm until 1943, moving then to Maddock farm and to the Roy Waite farm. In 1948 they moved to a ranch near Castle Rock, CO, then built a home near Franktown, CO. Wayne was in the construction business until he quit in 1973 due to poor health. They still live near Franktown. Their son, Lyle, works for United Air Lines at Stapelton Airport, Denver, CO. Their son, Merlyn, was killed in Vietnam where he was an army helicopter pilot.

Wayne, the sone of Chris and Lucy Wentzel, married the former Inga Barsten on November 16, 1940 at Cogswell, ND.

Two sons were born to them while they were still living in North Dakota near Guelph. Merlyn was born April 29, 1946. He was an Army helicopter pilot and lost his life in Vietnam, August 17, 1970. He left a wife, Alice, and a son, Greg. They are now living in Mesquite, TX.
