Archibald, Olean, were held Wednesday afternoon (February 14, 1945) at two o'clock at the Halwig Funeral Home. The Rev. Wesley R. Wilder, pastor of the Free Methodist Church officiated. The Odd Fellows service was conducted by F. H. Nancarrow, noble grand, and W. W. Williams, chaplain. Burial was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Portville. Pallbearers were John Nease, F. H. Nancarrow, W. W. Williams, John Manley, George Carr, Martin Burdick. Those attending from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Lawrence, Miss Virginia Lawrence, Miss Joan Lawrence, David Lawrence, Buffalo; Mrs. Maude Lawrence, Friendship; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jennings, Richburg; Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Archibald, Frank Middaugh, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest TenEyck, George Carr and Martin Burdick, Portville.
RESOLUTION OF RESPECT Whereas: Divine Providence has called from us our well loved and honored Brother, M. J. Archibald AND Whereas: He was for many years a faithful, consistent and useful member of Portville Lodge I. O. O. F. No. 779. Be It Therefore Resolved.
