OBITUARY: Died, Tuesday night, November 22, 1887, at his home in South Haven, of a strangulated hernia. M. M. Stowe,in his 67th year. The remains were buried in the Fraternity Cemetery on Wednesday afternoon. Mr. M. M. Stowe was born in Windsor, Broome County, N. Y., October 15, A.D. 1820, and died Nov. 22, 1887. He was married to Miss Mary Judge, of Yorkshire, Oct. 23, 1815. As a result of this union seven children, four boys and three girls, were born to them. He was converted and united with the M. E. Church in 1857. He, it can be truly said, adorned his profession by an upright walk and chast conversation." For a number of years he was a class leader and no doubt did his work well. The last time he stood up as a witness for Christ, he spoke of having grace to live right and then he was sure he would have grace to die with, whaich all that were present during his last moments can testify was verified in his death as like Paul, he was assured 'If his earthly hous of his tabernacle were dissolved, he had a building from God, a house not made with hands eternal, in the heavens." II Cor. 5:1. An appropriate funeral sermon will be preached at the M. E. Church, at South Haven at 11 o'clock, by the writer. H. Lundy
