About Merwin (Bud) Conner

He was called "Bud" or "Buddy" by family members. Only sibling to graduate from college. Served as a cook in the Navy. He had been known to gamble frequently both in LasVegas and in Mexico. He lived for awhile in California. He more or less kept his adult life a secret from his siblings. Last seen by family members in the late 50's, he disappeared and was presumed dead. The family hired a private detective to search for him when his father passed away and again a year later when his mother passed away, but he found no trace of Bud. His nephew, Bill, found the information that he died in Anchorage in 1999 on the internet. See details under "death of Merwin" in event section.

His first marriage to Peggy was brief and we have no idea how long he and Ruth were together. He married Kam Sun in 1985 and they were together until his death in 1999. Kam said he was a heavy smoker and had severe lung problems.
