Meyer Marx

Family history suggests that Meyer died in the Mississippi River at St. Louis at age 18. Information in the Secretary of State Missouri archives with a copy of the City of St. Louis Coroner's report verifies that Meyer, age 18, was found floating in the River. The date was June 6, 1890. His father Nachma or Nadam had died in 1884 of Cholera.

Was Meyer a Jewish family name, perhaps a grandfather? The male name chain would be Meyer, Nachma, Meyer, Nathan. That convention was repeated in he female line with Julia Marx granddaughter named Julia Berwin.
