  • Eldest son of Michael Bacon (1579 -18 Apr 1648) His mother died 1647.
  • Came to America from Ireland with his father in 1640 to Dedham, Massachusetts.
  • In Charlestown in he subscribed 18 Dec 1640 "Town Orders" for the then projected town of Woburn. He became one of the original inhabitants.
  • He served as selectman in 1659-1665, 1666, 1668 and 1670. In 1675 he was a citizen of Billerica.
  • In August 1675, when the town was providing for defense against the Indians, he and his family were assigned to garrison 10 under command of Timothy Brooks.
  • He married (1) Mary Jobo, b. Abt 1617, Winston, Suffolk, England, d. 26 Aug 1655, Woburn, Middlesex.
