Stephen McInnis (Michael) was a blacksmith and farmer. He settled at Shenacadie and became the first post-master of that place. He married Mary, daughter of Jonathan McPhee (Tailor), Issue: — Ann, Catherine, John, Michael, Mary, Lucy, Elizabeth, Ambrose, and Sarah.
Michael was a schoolteacher until he married and settled at North Sydney where he was in the employ of the Nova Scotia Steel and Coal Co. for a long time.
