His obit, from the Winona Daily News, dated Wednesday, April 29, 1959 - Winona Deaths - Michael J. Pershell "Michael J. Pershell (Paschelka), 81, 2641 N. Menard Ave., Chicago, formerly of Winona, died Monday at 1 p.m. at his home following a long illness. He was born here Sept. 23rd, 1877, and married Anna Cichosz. He had lived in Chicago 53 years. Survivors include his wife: two sons, Russell, Chicago, and Gordon, La Grange, Ill.: two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Gerlach, Chicago, and Mrs. Mildred Alameda, Peoria, Ill.; two sisters, Celia Paschelka, California, and Della Paschelka, New York: five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Watkowski Funeral Home and 9 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, the Rt. Rev. Msgr. N. F. Grulkowski officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday after 7 p.m. and Friday after 2 p.m. A Rosary will be said Thursday after 7 p.m. and Msgr. Grulkowski will lead Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Friday."
