About Michael Noret
Called "pretty Michael." Emigrated from France to America in 1831, a year or less after father died. He was then 61 years old; it is probably that all five of his children were born before the family left France. Boat took two months to cross the ocean. Settled in Waynesburg, Ohio, in Stark County, bought a farm and built a large house and elaborate barns which are still standing in good repair. [1960] Wouldn't come in out of the rain, caught cold, and died at 98 years of age.
