KNOXVILLE - Michael J. Tully , 92, of rural Knoxville died at 4:10 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2003, at Cottage Hospital.
Born Oct. 20, 1910, in Peoria to John and Johanna Dunne Tully , he married Helen Bernice Cobb on April 15, 1936, in Newton, Iowa. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Ronald (and Joanne) of California and Patrick (and Sandra) of Wataga; two daughters, Michele Harmon of Pekin and Mary Jane (and John) Inzirillo of California; one sister, Cecilia Seifert of Houston; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Gary; one daughter, Judith; one brother; and three sisters.
He owned and operated Tully 's Standard Station in Galesburg for 30 years.
He also drove a school bus for Galesburg and Knoxville school districts for more than 20 years.
A former member of the Knox County Farm Bureau, he farmed in the Knoxville area for several years.
He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Galesburg, where services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Joseph Presley will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at Watson Funeral Home in Galesburg. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Peoria.
Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society or any charity.
