Back in 2012 while living in Gympie I started researching my roots. Started with my natural mothers and grandfathers name, and a probable surname for my grandmother (MacDonald). Took a matter of moments to discover she was not a Macca's, but a MacKenzie.

Spent a many time trolling through parish records, statutory records, wills, genealogical books, newspapers, newspapers, did I say newspapers in an attempt to gather correct information.

Family hails from Scotlands (regions like Gairloch, Caithness); Poschiavo in Switzerland; England (Norfolk, Wiltshire, Kent); Cornwall; Wales; Ireland

Lived through Endocarditis in 2015 - 2016.

Geni? Mostly good, some bad. It is frustrating to see what is being done to the various individuals in the collaborative tree. Like FamilySearch sources are being blantantly ignored. Individuals being made up. Families magically being in Scotland and America at the same time with DNA wink wink "confirming" these lines. Bogus. Bad. Fake profiles.
