Mildred Francis Kheirallah

Master seemstress--professional sewing; professional photgrapher trained by the famous Arnold Genthy. Met her husband in NY while working as a telephone operator. Thought he was an Irish Professor from Dublin, until the day he proposed to her, and he finally revealed the truth to her. He was 20 years older than she, and had a 12 yr old daughter, Gulnar, from a previous marriage. Sold most of her valuable jewelry to send her only son Ali to Harvard. Raised her 4 granddaughters after her son's divorce in 1964. Her mother had died when she was 6, and her father left at that time. She took care of her sisters who were 4 and 2, until finally being taken to a Catholic orphanage where she was raised. She was an excellent student, and was awarded 'most polite student' in her school. She had straight black hair and brilliant blue eyes--very Irish looking. Parents were both Irish imigrants.
