SAYS HAYDON STOLE DAUGHTER. Daniel McCree secures warrant for Alleged Abduction.

Daniel Cree, a wealthy pioneer farmer and stockman who owns several thousand acres of land in Whitman County,near Sprague, today secured a warrant for Milton Haydon, charging him with having abducted Crees 16 year old daughter,Junia

Cree states that Haydon,who first met his daughter at a dance at Fish Trap lake, near Spragu, last fourth of July, came to his place with a team and buggy Sunday afternoon, after having telephoned from Sprague to the girl, informing her that he was coming out to take her buggy riding, and despite the protests of her mother, took the girl away to Sprague and from there to Coeur dÁlene,Idaho where they are alleged to have been married, although it is not known how they procured the license, the girl being a minor.

When the girl failed to return home Sunday night her mother went to Sprague the next day in search of her, and there learned that she and her alleged husband were at the home of relatives in Spokane, and immediately proceeded there and laid the case before the Chief of Police Sullivan, who she claims told her the couple was then in Spokane but refused to tell her where and advised her to put the case in the hands of the Whitman county authorities and ask for a warrant. Deputy Sheriff Cole left this morning for Spokane in search of the supposed elopers.
