15 Mach 1894 Carman Standard. Orange Blossoms Meaford Monitor: A very pleasing event took place at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. John Belfry on Wednesday evening amid pleasant surroundings and in the presence of many quests, it being the joining of their daughter Minnie in holy bonds of wedlock to Mr. Daniel Stewart, of Carman, Manitoba. The company assembled at the house at about fifteen minutes to nine oclock, and after a \space of about an hours time the bridal party entered the large parlor. Mr. George Stewart, of Toronto, brother of the bridegroom, officiated as best man and Miss Martha Belfry as bridesmaid and Miss Nellie Watt as maid of honor. The bride was attired in a rich and beautiful wedding gown of terra cotta silk with bridal veil and carried in her hand a superb bunch of carnations. The bride appeared lovely and Mr. Stewart well deserves the congratulations he received on having bestowed on him the hand of so fair a partner for a journey down the hill of life. Among the guests from a distance were Misses E. and V. White of Carman, Manitoba. After a few weeks visit among friends in Eramosa and Meaford, the happy couple will leave for their home in the west. The bride was the recipient of many useful and handsome presents. We join in wishing the young couple health and prosperity. April 5 1894 Mr. Daniel Stewart and bride arived from Ontario on Saturday. 30 June 1899 Mrs. Daniel Stewart left this week to spend a few weeks at her former home in Meaford, Ont.
