Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 at the Fredrick Funeral Home in Hampshire for Mrs. Minnie Howe Allen of Elgin, a former Hampshire resident, who died Sunday. The Rev. Edward Henninger, pastor of the First E.U.B. Church of Elgin will officiate. Burial will be in Doty Cemetery in Hampshire. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 tonight. Mrs. Allen was born Sept. 25, 1872, in Harmony. On Nov. 14, 1894, she married Dell Allen of Hampshire and they farmed in the Hampshire area until 1920 when they moved to Elgin. Her husband and two daughters preceded her in death. Surviving are two sons, Walter of Elgin and Edgar of Marengo; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Allen and Mrs. Mary Schnulle, and two brothers, Walter and Fred Howe, all of Hampshire; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.* Reference: Find A Grave Memorial - SmartCopy: Dec 10 2020, 6:29:53 UTC
