Grandson of William Hall I 'The Englishman' 1708-1764 and Hannah Richardson 1712-1765 married 1731 in now Chester County, PA and moved to Halltown WV where they were millers. Hannah was of Dutch decent. They were Quakers. William I was the son of Thomas Hall and Sarah Brave born in England, died in PA. Children of William I were William II, Anthony #115175327 married Rachel Simmons, Bennett, Caleb, James B. married Sarah Ann, Elizabeth #81770703 married Isaiah (Elijah) Pemberton , Joseph married Mary Crow, Ruth married John Heavin, Hannah married David Harris and Sarah married Humphrey Keyes.

William III Married 1) Miriam Tullis in 1784 in Halltown, WV daughter of Moses Tullis born Monmouth, New Jersey 1728, died 1777 Berkeley County, VA now West Virginia and Mary Elizabeth Van Dyke born Somerset, New Jersey 1727, died 1796 Berkeley. Moses Tullis's father was born in Fife County, Scotland. The Van Dyke ancestry was Dutch. The Tullis family was Presbyterian, so William III married outside of the Quaker faith which would have caused him to be shunned unless Miriam converted. Children: Mary Hall, born April 13, 1786, died 1806 Moses Hall, born July 4, 1788, died 1806 Miriam Hall, born January 1790 married Peter Parris Elizabeth Hall, born November 4, 1790, married John Craig Jonathan Tullis Hall, born November 24, 1792, died May 5, 1850 married Elizabeth Avis John Hall, born February 3, 1795, died February 11, 1795 William Lucas Hall, born April 26, 1796, died 1845 Pickaway OH, married Mary Ann Anderson Edward Lucas Hall, born May 31, 1799, died 1806 Sarah Keyes Hall, born July 31, 1801, died 1806 Annie Hall, born February 25, 1805, died 1806 Infant daughter, stillborn, 1806 Miriam and all but 4 of her 11 children died of "cold plague" in 1806 . They are buried in the family plot adjoining Allstadt Graveyard in Halltown, Jefferson County, West Virginia. William I and his wife Hannah are likely buried there also.

William III and Mary, his 2nd wife, of Jefferson Co. sold to Robert and William Lucas for $1,530.00 the remaining part of the tract of land purchased from his father William Hall II which included the family graveyard of 1/4 acre which was reserved 'is not to be exposed to be rooted up by hogs.'
