'Miss Violet Davey Birth place Islington( Wiliam & Elizas daughter) was a keen cyclist in her early years , an accomplished pianoforte player. Lived for some years at Ilford, then moved to Southend on sea.(certainly by 1912.) Violet Davey was by all accounts a very pretty & lady like person. Violet had been described by her sister as lookalike to 1960s actress Nanette Newman! A slim a vivacious woman of exceptional charm apparently ( around 1912 when viewed by men!) Violet it was said had one love who was either killed or maimed seriously during WW 1' , she moved to Colchester during the first world war but she never married , died young likely of heart failure family said about 1926 aged 39 Might even be same Miss violet Davey that worked in a public house in Colchester( North hill)about 1922-26 May be that the photo on this profile is not Miss Violet but another Davey daughter ?
