Morgan Polden

1611 [Virtual Treasury] Inquisition, Mallow, taken at the town of Mallow, in the counte of Corke on 16 Aug 1611. The said Hugh Cuffe hath granted unto Thomas Polden, gent the castell and one ploughland of Rathgogine in the county of Corke consisting of 300 acres... after whose death the said descended unto Morgan Polden, gent, his son and heyre whoe conveyed the same unto the foresaid Lord Audlay who hath conveied the same unto his son and heyre apparante.

1616 In the Surrey Archives, dated 2nd Feb 1616, is a "Deed of Covenant to Levy Fine" as follows: "1) Thomas Notte of Long Ditton, Esq., Robert de la Hay of Lincoln's Inn, Middlesex, gent, and George French of Furnivale's Inn, Middlesex, gent 2) Morgan Polden of Kiltoe [Kilcoe] Castle, Carbery, Cork, gent, and John Polden Closse of New Sarum, Wiltshire 1) to 2) on marriage of Thomas Notte and Elizabeth, daughter of Thomas Polden and sister of Morgan Polden".
