Morris Reitman

Morris was naturalized on June 27, 1900. He married Bessie Horwitz on January 17, 1910. They had three children (Fradie, Raisi, and Lester) and lived at 506 Wendover Avenue in the Bronx. Morris' mother Rebecca Reitman, lived with them. The Lazarus family lived in that same building. Later they moved to 1880 Belmont Avenue. By 1931 Morris and Bessie had moved again to 1530 Sheridan Avenue. Eventually they settled in another apartment on the Grand Concourse.

In 1900 Morris was employed as a "clothing cutter." However by 1922 he owned a shoe and hat store at 3863 Third Avenue. He later moved his business to 3829 Third Avenue and Claremont Parkway. He also owned the building in partnership with his brother in law, Harry Lazarus
