Moses Botts - Born in Stafford County in 1707.Moved to Loudoun County, Virginia by the 1750's, owned large plantation and had several slaves.He also worked as an overseer on the neighboring plantation of William Fitzhugh in the 1760's - 1770's.In the 1771 and 1772 tithable lists for Cameron Parish, Loudoun County, two of the slaves on Fitzhugh's plantation were named Daphney and Milly.A "tithable" slave was over 16 years old.Moses died in Loudoun County in 1778.
