Moses McComas (1857-1938), son of Addison McComas (1834-?) and Acquilla McComas (1831-?) (Addison McComas and Acquilla McComas were 1st cousins) married Paulina W. Green (1860-1890), daughter of James A. Green (1833-1931) and Elizabeth Caroline Meadows Green (1835-1915), on June 10, 1877. (They are buried at Kinder Cemetery, Costa, WV). Moses had brothers named Thomas, James and Charles, and sisters Paulina and Mary; Paulina had brothers Frank and John. (Paulina was a direct descendant of Thomas "Seagull" Green (1635-1714). (Moses McComas and four of his children were living in Sherman District of Boone County in 1900 according to the Federal Census). Moses McComas was a direct descendant of Daniel Alexander McComas, who was born in Scotland in 1622 and was Captain of the Guards at Edingurgh (Edinburgh?) Castle in 1685, but fled to America with a price on his head and died in Baltimore County, Maryland in 1699.
