Mr. Nickell, the son of Daniel P. and Perline Nickell, was born near Flemingsburg, KY. At the age of 5, came to MO with parents. Settled on farm short distance south of Browning MO. Enlisted Co F 23rd MO Vol. With General Sherman's army on the March to the Sea. After discharge returned home. Married Nancy R. Robinson 8 Apr 1865 who died 26 July 1914. Children born, W.P., F.W. Joe Nickell; Mrs Pauline Lynch now of Rosston OK; J.G. and G.L. Nickell now of Lind WA. F.W. Nickell is deceased. Married Rebecca Sharp 30 Oct 1915 who survives. Services Methodist Church.
