DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION ( 1898) Mrs. Almira C. Robinson Magrath. 5068 Born in Ohio. Wife of Capt. Christopher S. Magrath. Descendant of Sergt. Moses Tracy and of Samuel Tracy, of Connecticut. Daughter of Zachariah Robinson and Jane McCune, his wife. Granddaughter of Samuel McCune and Almira Tracy, his wife. Gr.-granddaughter of Jonas Tracy and Susanna Curtis Whaley, his wife. Gr.-gr.-granddaughter of Moses Tracy and Esther Richmond Tracy, his wife. Gr.-gr.-gr.-granddaughter of Samuel Tracy. Moses Tracy was a minute man in the Lexington Alarm. He enlisted in 1777 and was at Germantown, in the defense of Fort Mifflin, wintered at Valley Forge, fought at Monmouth and Stony Point. He was wounded but served to the close of the war and received a sergeant's pension.
Samuel Tracy was a soldier, and there were forty-three of the name from Preston and Norwich who served in the war.
