Moses B. Troyer

APPLE CREEK Moses B. Troyer, 87, 5411 Criswell Road, died Friday, Jan. 27, 2006, at his home after a 6-month battle with cancer. Services will be Monday at 9 a.m. at the residence, with Bishop Andy E. Troyer officiating. Burial will be at Yoder Cemetery, Salt Creek Township, Wayne County. Friends may call anytime at the residence. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton, is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Greater Wayne County, 2525 Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691. Moses was born May 19, 1918, near Orrville to Benjamin J. and Mattie M. (Erb) Troyer and married Barbara A. Miller on Nov. 25, 1937. She died Nov. 17, 1990. He had lived all of his life in Wayne County, where he was a retired farmer and was a custom cereal grinder. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. Surviving are children, Lizzie Ann (Joe) Schwartz of Mount Perry, Joe (Anna) Troyer, Mary Troyer, Anna Troyer, Amanda Troyer and Andrew (Lena) Troyer, all of Conneautville, Pa., Mattie (Harry) Wanner of Lobelville, Tenn., Levi (Sylvia) Troyer of Springboro, Pa., Benjamin (Mandi) Troyer, David Troyer and Edna Troyer, all of the home and Ada (Philip) Wanner of Wildersville, Tenn.; 53 grandchildren; 17 step-grandchildren, 122 great-grandchildren; and 125 step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Abe (Kathryn) Troyer of Apple Creek; and sisters, Anna (Dan) Troyer of Holmesville, Elizabeth (Andy) Miller of Fredericksburg, Ada (Roman) Chupp and Katie Troyer, both of Honey Path, S.C. In addition to his wife, a daughter, Fannie, two brothers, a sister, two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and two step-grandchildren died previously.
