Moses Wayman

• Moses Wayman learned the cabinet making trade in Lexington, Kentucky. After marrying Ruth Jones they lived in Covington, Ky. for several years then moved to Henry County, Indiana in 1826. He entered 80 acres of land in Henry County, Indiana 25 Sept. 1825 and lived on that farm until his death, plying his trade and farming, making his own furniture and coffins, doors, windows, sash, and etc for his neighbors.

He cleared nearly all of his 80 acres, built him a log house and a year or two before he died, built a frame house. His wife, Ruth lived on the farm after his death with their children. When they were grown she lived with them and died at the home of James V. Wayman in Cambridge City, Indiana in Feb. 1857
