Myrtle Allen, dau. of Harvey H. Allen and Electa Chase Fisher, was b. Jan. 15,1857 in Texas. After her father's death in 1863, her mother re-married and they rem. to Galveston. She m. with JAMES W. HANCOCK, son of William & Martha Hancock (both b Virginia).He was b. Mar. 1842 in Texas. All ch. b. in Texas. She d. Dec. 1,1912 in Austin, Texas, a widow; buried Oakwood Cemetery, Austin, Texas.
