OBIT: Myrtle Irene (Eide) Weaver, 82, of Twentynine Palms, CA died Tuesday, May 20, 2003 at Joshua Tree Hospital in Joshua Tree, CA. Myrtle was born August 21, 1920 to Arthur and Cora (Johnson) Eide at Strum. She attended grade school in Bruce Valley, rural Strum, and graduated from Lincoln Hill High School in Osseo. After graduating from Eau Claire Teachers College she taught country school in Borst Valley. In the fall of 1942 she moved to Los Angeles to work in aircraft plants during WWII. In 1946 she began her work as a telephone operator at AT&T, retiring after 31 years of service. She married Herman Weaver. Herman preceded her in death in 1980. She then moved to Twentynine Palms to be with her special niece Pam Eide and her children. She is survived by two sisters, Alice (Clifford) Evenson of Osseo, Joyce Knolle of Crivitz, fourteen nieces and nephews; 44 great nieces and nephews; 39 great nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Hensel, and two nephews. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2003 at Osseo Evangelical Lutheran Church with burial in Osseo Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Schiefelbein Funeral Home in Osseo assisted the family.
