Estella Viramontes Aug. 11, 1912 ~ Sept. 27, 2010 Resident of Berkeley Nora Estella was born in Emporia, Kansas to parents Charles and Agatha White. Her younger years were spent playing in a female softball league in Berkeley, while attending Berkeley High. Her favorite sport was tennis which she continued to play into her 70's. She is predeceased by husband Herbert S. and also her only son Herbert A. and survived by her daughter-in-law Betty and her beloved grandchildren Kristi (John) Wallace and Keith (Jennifer) Viramontes; greatgrandsons Kyle, Kasey, Ryan and Jake; five surviving brothers and sisters; and nieces Barbara Clover and Nancy White, who were both very caring and devoted to their "Aunt John." Services to be conducted by Neptune Society per her request. Published in Contra Costa Times on October 12, 2010
