From Nan's obituary: Nan Jo Tyler, also known as Nan Jo Forbes, was born on a Tuesday, Oct. 1, 1935, in San Luis Obispo, Calif., to Ethel Effie Forbes and Charles Robertson Forbes Jr.
She passed away Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009, at 10 p.m. at Kingman Regional Medical Center.
She went to school through junior high in San Luis. She moved to Palo Alto, Calif., with her aunt. In her junior year, she moved to Paso Robles, Calif., to live with her mom and stepfather, DeValle "Bob" Horton.
She married Bobbie Morrow and adopted her lifetime friend and daughter, Bobbye.
She taught Sunday School, Girl Scouts and enjoyed raising Bobbye.
She lost her father in 1963 and her loving mother in 2001.
She leaves behind a sister, Joan Ann Perry and her husband Bob of St. George, Utah; a daughter, Bobbye and her husband David Bosse; a granddaughter, Sarah and her husband Michael Williams of Bakersfield, Calif.
She also left her stepfather, DeValle "Bob" Horton, 92, living with her special mate, Robert Cleon Tyler, her husband, a very special person and the love of her life.
