Birth: 1782 Surry County North Carolina, USA Death: Nov. 2, 1863 Warren County Kentucky, USA

• Nancy was the daughter of Thomas Highsmith and Sarah "Sally" Wood, she married Rev. William M. Harris on September 23, 1797 in Green County, Kentucky and they had possibly sixteen children, five of the boys were ministers.
• After William died in 1845 Nancy was living with her daughter, Nancy Blewett's family in the Warren County 1850 census. In the 1860 census Nancy was living next door to her son Alexander Chapman Harris in Warren County, she died in 1863. The son of Nancy, Thomas H. Harris and his wife Martha and daughter Mary are listed in the 1860 census of Lancaster Texas but there is no Nancy living with them or in the 1860 census of Texas at all, she was still living in Kentucky where she died in 1863 and is buried in Pilot Knob Cemetery.
