I can at least make at least a semi-solid tie back to Littleton Sims and Hannah Mitchell.
For one, Nancy's birthplace is listed in the US Censuses as North Carolina. Littleton Sims was living in North Carolina in 1800 and 1810, with the latter census having three white females under ten in the household.
Just as well, William and Nancy Melton had a son named Littleton S. Melton. While this may very well be a coincidence, I believe the odds are unlikely. It seems probable that Littleton was named for his grandfather.
And finally, as I have already mentioned, a Nancy Melton was mentioned in Littleton's will.
Taking all of this into account, I believe it is safe to at least have a semi-confident link back to Littleton and Hannah Sims. Either way, I will add an Uncertain tag. Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm no professional.

Nancy was born on August 31st, 1802 in North Carolina.<ref>US Census; Year: 1860; Census Place: Division 1, Henderson, Kentucky; Roll: M653_373; Page: 123; Family History Library Film: 803373</ref> She married William Allen Melton and had five children with him.<ref>US Census; Year: 1840; Census Place: Henderson, Kentucky; Roll: 114; Page: 245; Family History Library Film: 0007827</ref><ref>US Census; Year: 1850; Census Place: District 2, Henderson, Kentucky; Roll: M432_204; Page: 311A; Image: 283</ref> Their date of marriage is uncertain. Nancy passed away on July 30th, 1880, and was buried at Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole, Webster County, Kentucky.<ref>https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/54230616/nancy-melton</ref>
I must say I am perplexed. Was Nancy Melton's maiden name Sims? Was she the daughter of Littleton Sims and Hannah Mitchell? I know that a Nancy Melton was mentioned in Littleton's will, but I for the life of me cannot find any other indication that she is the daughter of Littleton. Maybe I'm overthinking this. If someone sees this mess, I'd appreciate the help in cleaning it up.
Correction: I believe I did overthink it. I can at least make at least a semi-solid tie back to Littleton Sims and Hannah Mitchell.
