She and Thomas Henderson Jarvis were parents of 17 children, including two sets of twins, and two deaths at birth. She was lovingly known in the area as "Aunt Bug", who served the community as a midwife. She was the daughter of James and Nancy King Keen. After Thomas's death she married widower, James Boone Tallman. She loved to read but went blind sometime before her 1933 death."
