Nancy E. Wade, a widow passed away at her home at 320 N. McGregor St. in Carthage of complications of chronic diabetes. She was 79 years old.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel 'Sam' Wade passed away in 1887; a son Isaac 'Ike' Wade, was tragically killed in August 1900; and a daughter Nora, died from breast cancer in 1921 in Kansas City. Other children are a daughter; Mrs. J. W. Wilbur and two sons; Will and Bert Wade.

A sister, Mrs. I. Y. Byers of Jasper, Missouri.

Her parents were Robert and Elizabeth McWhiter.

Burial was in Park Cemetery in the Wade family lot with her husband and son Isaac.
