About Nancy Warren
When Nancy was 10, her parents moved to Gainesville, NY. At 16, she married her first cousin Daniel W. Weir (Son of John I. and Hepsy Weir).
After Daniel died, Nancy and daughter Catherine moved to Gainesville and they were found living with Nancy's father (Thomas R. Weir) per the 1850 census.
Nancy left Western NY by 1852, returning to White Creek, NY, where she married John Warren. Living with them, per the 1855 census at Pumpkin Hook, were her children by Daniel Weir. They lived in a dwelling across the road from John's chair manufacturing plant..
After John died, Nancy continued living in White Creek and resided with her daughter and son-in-law Catherine and Stephen Shaw. She last appeared on the census in 1905.
Nancy kept alive Sgt. John Weir's Revolutionary War story, which several of the old patriot's granddaughters used for DAR membership.
Was bequeathed $311 in John Warren's will.
