Biography

Nathaniel Church, the son of Nathaniel Church and Sarah Barstow, was born 10 February 1670/1. He died intestate before 7 May 1753, the date his son was appointed administrator of his estate.[1]

On 7 January 1696/7 he married Judith Bosworth, the daughter of Benjamin Bosworth and Hannah Morton. They had 8 children, all born in Scituate: Nathaniel, Abigail, Judith, Deborah, unnamed daughter, Joseph, Caleb, and Mary.[2]

Probate

His inventory was taken on 7 May 1753 in Scituate.[3]

In 1756, an account of his estate was recorded. His real estate could not be divided so his eldest son Nathaniel accepted it and paid his siblings their share, viz., Caleb Church, the heirs of Joseph Church, decd., Abigail Turner, wife of William Turner, Judith Clift, widow, Deborah Fish, wife of Ebenezer Fish, and Mary Samson, wife of Charles Samson.
