1806 Nathaniel Swift III Graduated from Williams College, Williamstown MA. He then entered Andover Theological Seminary, Andover MA.

1810 Nathaniel graduated from Andover Theological Seminary, Andover MA.

1810/1811 Nathaniel Swift and Elizabeth Wakeman were married, probably in Saratoga County, NY (exact date and place are not know at this time).

September 11, 1881 Rev. Nathaniel Swift was ordained at Skaneateles, Onodaga County, NY and was appointed pastor of the First Congregational Church there.

October 27, 1812 Rev. Nathaniel Swift resigned from his pastorate on account of illness.

1812-1818 Nathaniel and Elizabeth Apparently returned to Ballston, NY to live with Elizabeth's parents (her father owned a large and prosperous farm).

1817-1818 Either late in 1817 or early in 1818, Rev. Nathaniel Swift left Ballston, NY and returned to Warren, CT to live with his parents on their farm. Elizabeth and her children remained in Ballston.

In Warren CT, Rev. Nathaniel Swift escaped from his chains and killed his father with a blow to the head. He was found not guilty by reason of insanity, but for the rest of his life he was kept under physical restraint in the custody of his older brother Rufus Swift. Rev. Nathaniel Swift died at Warren CT on September 27, 1833.
