Necha Rachman

Rationale for assigning the Minsk Mazowiecki BR's to Lewek/Necha:

On Golda Bajla's and Berek Sztein's MR, Golda's parents appear as Lewek and Necha MENDLOWNA. On Lewek Rachman's and Necha Gurfinkel's MR, Necha's parents appear as Mendel and Chaja Fajga, indicating with high confidence that Necha Mendlowna is Necha Gurfinkel. Both MR's are from Gora Kalwaria.

There are 4 Minsk Mazowiecki 1849 BR's in sequence - Josek (5), Izrael Mordko (6), Laja (7) and Berek (8). All show their parents as Lewek and Necha, respectively 40yo and 38yo, except for BR 6 which shows Necha as being 30yo (but Lewek as 40yo - possibly a clerical error). Except for BR 6, these ages put the parents' births respectively in 1809 and 1811, very coherent with the dates extracted from Lewek's/Necha's MR.

There is one 1844 Minsk Mazowiecki BR for Dawid where the parents appear as Lewek and MINDLA NECHA, respectively 36yo (would have been born in 1808) and 30yo (would have been born in 1814) - very coherent with the above dates.

There is one 1847 Minsk Mazowiecki BR for Wolf where the parents appear as Lewek and Necha/Nucha, respectively 37yo (would have been born in 1810) and 28yo (would have been born in 1819!). Necha's age contrasts considerably with those of other records and Lewek's is still coherent.

There is one 1830 Gora Kalwaria BR for Jankel Rachman, son of Lewek and Jenta Gurfinkel. If Jenta was Necha's sister she would have died between 1830 and 1838. No DR was found. No other reference to Jenta Gurfinkel found in JRI-Poland. According to Jankel's 1830 BR, Jenta would have been born circa 1813, consistent with Necha's birth year.
