About Nehemias Rescher
Left Hochberg in 1849. Had 6 children - 4 of whom reached adulthood. Orphaned as a small boy of 7. Received a good schooling which he concluded in 1848. During 1848-49 he discharged his military service obligation in the army of Wuerttemberg, and then proceeded to study at the University of Tuebingen. After medical school took his M. D. examination in the summer of 1852. Thereafter he settled in the rural hamlet of Schrozberg.
His father died at the young age of 37 in 1835, so Nehemias was orphaned at age seven. He was presumbly raised by his uncle Salomo. Funds for his education were certainly available and he was trained as a physician. He married Emilie Isar in 1852 and they settled in Schrozberg where the husband practiced medicine for the rest of his life.
He and his brother Jesse, who emigrated to Frane in 1856, the Rescher line emanating from Jacob ended its connection with Hochberg.
