

Left Hochberg in 1849. Had 6 children - 4 of whom reached adulthood. Orphaned as a small boy of 7. Received a good schooling which he concluded in 1848. During 1848-49 he discharged his military service obligation in the army of Wuerttemberg, and then proceeded to study at the University of Tuebingen. After medical school took his M. D. examination in the summer of 1852. Thereafter he settled in the rural hamlet of Schrozberg.
He and his brother Jesse, who emigrated to Frane in 1856, the Rescher line emanating from Jacob ended its connection with Hochberg.
