Nelson V. Miller

DUNDEE -- Nelson V. Miller, 87, 5521 Cement Bridge Road, Dundee, died Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at Oak Pointe Nursing Home in Baltic.

He was born Aug. 11, 1929, in Holmes County to the late Valentine J. and Sarah (Schlabach) Miller, and married Anna M. Wengerd on Oct. 2, 1951. She died Jan. 22, 2016.

He retired from farming, Hardy Coal and Miller’s Maytag Service. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Surviving are his children, Andrew (Ann) Miller, Ervin (Martha) Miller, Vernon (Rebecca) Miller, Norman (Gladys) Miller, Mary Ann (Ray) Miller, Nelson Jr. (Hosanna) Miller, Ada Mae (Dan Jr.) Miller and Sara Marie Troyer; 33 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mary Ann Miller and Martha Stutzman.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Edward Miller; sisters, Emma, Freda, Katie and Esther; and brothers, Andy and Marvin.

Services were held Saturday, May 6, 2017, at the Wyman D. Yoder residence, 5515 Cement Bridge Road, Dundee. Bishop David Fry officiated. Burial was in Yoder Cemetery, Wayne Township, Tuscarawas County.
