Josiah - there is a headstone in a cemetery in Overton County, TN. of a Joel Copeland born in 1734, d. 1814, it is believed to be the same person. There are a number of Copelands in Overton County other than the dependents of Stephen Copeland (son of Joseph) and his family that have not been identified. (There is a Josiah Copeland on NC. list of Rev. War Soldiers (R-Pat-NC) 1729-1791.)
