GEORGE of County of Stafford Carpenter being of perfect sense but very sick and weak .. do appoint this my last will & Testament. Imps. I comend my Soul to Cod & for my worldly Estate I dispose in manner following ..
Item I appoint, my dear and loving Wife MARTHA and all my children Executors of this my will.
Item I give to my daughter WILMOT HARDING the bed and furniture in the shed where she now lies but not the bedstead & to my said daughter I also bequeath one iron pot she has her mother shall please to give her and 1/2 dozen pewter plates and I pewter dish & I small trunk and 1 pewter basin.
Item I give to my Son NICHOLAS my Negroes after the decease of his mother but on this proviso that the first child of my negro wench Hanah brings and lives to be two years old I give to my son WILLIAM who I leave to be of full age at 18.
Item I give my piece of land in the great fork of Rappahannock to be Equally divided between my "two sons Nichs. & William".
Item I give my son Nicholls my cheery stock gun and to my son William my little trumpet muzle gun and I leave my son Nicholas of age at 18.
Item I ordain that ac the decease of my wife she shall leave my daughter WILMOT one other feather bed, and all the remainder of my personal Estate at the decease of my wife I give to be equally divided between my two sons but if either of them dies without issue than that it all go to the Survivor. In Test .. this 16th day 10ber 1736.
