NICHOLAS "NICK" RAUSCH
Nicholas "Nick" Rausch, age 88, a resident of Royalton, passed away Saturday, July 26, at St. Otto's Care Center. Mass of Christian Burial was Tuesday, July 29, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton with Father Laurn Virnig officiating. Burial was at Holy Trinity Parish Cemetery.
Nicholas "Nick" Rausch was born on December 24, 1914, in St. Martin to the late Joseph and Margaret (Garding) Rausch. He married Regina Detloff on May 28, 1960, at Annunciation Catholic Church in Mayhew Lake.
Nick was the owner and operator of the Royalton Produce for 47 years. Previously, he worked for the Math Rausch Produce and Store in St. Martin. He was also the owner of the Glenwood Produce for several years and was employed at Ed Herges Meats in Foley for two years. Nick was the city clerk for Royalton for 14 years and was a retired member of the Royalton Fire Department. He loved baseball as a fan, amateur player, and umpire. In earlier years, he enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially hunting deer up north.
He is survived by his wife, Regina; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John, Joseph, James, Math, Mike Rausch; and sisters, Rose Blonigen and Ella Doll.
Arrangements were with the Brenny-Karlinski Funeral Home in Royalton.
